Well I am pretty much going to let the pictures do the talking here. Champagne sailing (literally) with light winds to start that built to 15 knots in the evening.

Yacht racing in Coffs Harbour, how cool! It certainly made for a change of scenery, and the arrival of the large pod of dolphins made it quite special! If we were being fussy we probably might have asked for a few knots more wind and it would have been perfect.

As each of the yachts took off from the dock, many boats were sporting their bright orange Storm Jib and trysail on deck, we were no different . The view up Pittwater was pretty cool as boats and the spectator fleet made their way up to Broken Bay for the start.

Well what a great adventure racing from Pittwater to Coffs Harbour was! Many of you who were following us on Facebook already know that it was a long race. 2 Days 8 Hours and 42 minutes actually racing. Call it a round 60 hours on the boat when you factor in, prestart and getting sails down at Coffs Harbour.

Countdown to Coffs

Most of you will know by now that during the summer break we will be taking on the Pittwater to Coffs Harbour Yacht race on board our little boat “High Anxiety”. It has been a 2 year build up with our crew and we are very excited!
Careless Whisper

Let me just get it out there first up and just in case it does not sound like it.... I love the Whisper Mug. It’s a fun race, in nice scenery and is lot’s of fun. My only real issue with it is – The Whisper Mug does not love me J
Cabbage Tree Kids

A race of two halves, the first night (Friday) was rough, windy and intense. The Southerly change was pushing against an established NE swell which meant very confused seas. The wind was stronger and the waves were bigger than we were anticipating, and we ended the night with a few crew down seasick.
